An example from the question set

What characterizes compatibility group A for explosives?

Primary detonating substances that are very sensitive to impact and friction
Secondary detonating substances such as TNT and dynamite
Articles containing detonating explosives
Explosives packaged to present no significant hazard
Explanation

Compatibility group A covers primary detonating substances. These are highly sensitive explosives that can detonate from a small impulse such as impact, friction, or spark. Examples include mercury fulminate and lead azide.

Due to their extreme sensitivity, group A substances must never be transported together with other explosives. They require special handling and packaging to prevent accidental detonation.

I just wanted to thank you for the help when taking my driver's license. Have used prove.no to practise for the theoretic test, and I got exactly the same questions on the theoretic test as I did on prove.no. Got 0 mistakes! Thank you very much.

Frequently asked questions

How many errors can you have on the ADR class 1 exam?

You can have a maximum of 3 errors out of 15 questions on the ADR class 1 exam (1-ADR). You need at least 12 of 15 correct to pass at DSB.

How long does the ADR class 1 exam take?

You have 75 minutes for the ADR class 1 exam at DSB. If you take the combined exam (G-1ADR), the 135 minutes for the basic course are added, giving 210 minutes in total on the same day.

Can I take the ADR class 1 exam without the basic course?

No. The ADR basic course (G-ADR) is the mandatory foundation for the class 1 specialization. Most candidates take the basic course and class 1 on the same exam day as a combined exam (G-1ADR). Taking only the class 1 exam is relevant only if you already hold a valid ADR basic certificate.

How long is the ADR class 1 specialization valid?

The ADR competence certificate with class 1 specialization is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. Before it expires you must pass renewal exams for both the basic course and the class 1 module to retain the qualification.

Which ADR specialisations are there?

ADR training consists of a basic course (grunnkurs) and three specialisation courses: tank, class 1 (explosives) and class 7 (radioactive material). This test covers the class 1 (explosives) specialisation, which builds on the basic course.
