An example from the question set

You encounter an injured motorcyclist who complains about back pains. Which claim is correct?

The helmet can stay on if the patient is communicating and otherwise in good shape.
You should remove the helmet as soon as possible.
You need to make sure the patient stands up as much as possible.
The injured must never be moved, even if it is needed to prevent further injuries.
Explanation

Rescue or health personnel will remove the helmet in a way that ensures no further injury is caused to neck and back. You should not move the injured person unless it is absolutely necessary.

If the patient is not communicating, the helmet must come off so you can check breathing and, if necessary, start life-saving first aid.

At the test station you are handed a calculator, scrap paper and a pen or pencil for the calculation questions. No road list (vegliste) is handed out at the D1 test (it belongs to classes C, CE and D) – the weight questions are solved with plain arithmetic from figures you are given, such as those in the registration card. Your own aids are not allowed, except a dictionary.

Do I need a medical certificate for a class D1 licence?

Yes. Class D1 has group 3 health requirements (the same as bus), and you must provide a medical certificate from a doctor both the first time and at every renewal. The licence is issued for up to 5 years at a time. From age 66 it is issued at most until the day before you turn 71, and after 70 it is renewed one year at a time. You never re-sit the theory test at renewal — a new medical certificate is all that is needed.
