What our users say
Thank you so much for the fantastic help you have given me! Today I passed the theory class B on the first attempt, without stressing about it. I even thought you had harder questions than the actual theory test, many pluses from me!
Thank you very very much! I passed on the first attempt thanks to you. Read the book only once, and took tests here on prove.no and got only 6-7 mistakes on the last few tests, and when I took the actual test I got 7 mistakes. I had never thought I would pass right away. The questions were very similar. Recommend everyone to take many tests here, I am sure you will succeed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the traffic sign test an official Statens vegvesen exam?
No. The Prøve.no traffic sign test is a practice tool for learning and revising road signs. Statens vegvesen tests sign knowledge as part of the regular theory test for a driving licence — there is no separate official sign exam.
How many errors can you have on the traffic sign test?
On Prøve.no the traffic sign test has 30 questions and you can have a maximum of 4 errors to pass — at least 26 of 30 must be correct.
Which sign categories does the test cover?
The test covers prohibition, warning, information, right-of-way, mandatory, service and direction signs as well as road markings. You also practise sub-signs and how to interpret symbols in combination.
Who is the traffic sign test for?
The test suits learners preparing for the driving theory test, cyclists and pedestrians who want to brush up, and drivers who need a refresher. It is also a useful supplement to standard theory practice.
Can I take the traffic sign test in different languages?
Yes. Prøve.no offers the traffic sign test in Norwegian, English, Ukrainian, Polish and Arabic — pick the language from the top menu. The signs themselves are identical; only the questions and explanations are translated.
