An example from the question set

What is the main difference between a ball coupling and a kingpin coupling on a vehicle combination?

The ball coupling is used on light trailers; the kingpin/fifth wheel transfers weight directly to the tractor unit and is used on semi-trailers.
Kingpin is just another term for a ball coupling.
The ball coupling can only be used with ABS, while the kingpin requires EBS.
Both couplings have the same permitted vertical load.
Explanation

A ball coupling is used on smaller trailers (typically under about 3.5 t total weight) — the trailer's coupling head is fitted over a ball on the towing vehicle. A kingpin is a heavy steel pin on the underside of a semi-trailer that locks into a fifth wheel on the tractor unit's chassis. The kingpin/fifth wheel transfers a significant part of the trailer's weight directly down into the tractor unit and withstands a far higher load than a ball coupling. A truck with a full trailer or a rigid-drawbar trailer normally uses a pin coupling (a trailer coupling with a pin and a drawbar eye).

Very good. The only thing I miss is an online book. If you mistake a sign during a test, you should get a chapter on signs to read more about.
