Remember your seatbelt on the bus!

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has conducted many seatbelt checks on buses, but until now passengers without seatbelts only received a verbal warning. Now the warnings are over, and forgetful, lazy, or unwilling passengers will receive a NOK 1,500 fine for not wearing a seatbelt during an inspection.

The rule states that you must wear a seatbelt if the bus has them. Some buses are registered as city buses, and these are not required to have seatbelts installed.
